Testimonials
“Steph’s work is something that is wonderfully endless in discovery and equally as exciting. I think as actors get older and more self-aware, it’s so easy to lose a sense of play and freedom, to get self-conscious. But what Steph does with an ensemble is literally magic. She’s able to bring an ensemble closer together creatively and emotionally within the space of an hour and it feels effortless. Her practices open up huge floodgates of creativity and bring back what makes this special to us actors. Every ensemble lesson I’ve had has just been so fun and so beneficial. I genuinely fully believe that this work should be everywhere. In developing ensembles in Drama School classes, or in plays or even in films. Or even just as an actor to oil the creative gears a bit. Sometimes I walk into her classes worried about my creativity and imagination and I always leave reassured and confident. She’s also lovely! And really cares about her students!.”

“I have benefited from Stephanie Arsoska’s work both as a student as well as part of her movement ensemble. Her refreshing approach to teaching creates an environment in which I feel both held and safe, allowing me to step out of my comfort zone as a performer and theatremaker. Her authenticity as a leader is inspiring, creating a culture of honesty, kindness and respect - both for each other and the work. I have grown immensely in my personal performance work and as a facilitator, as I have learnt so much from the way she holds space. Stephanie is a skilful facilitator in the truest sense of the word, creating meaningful connection. She brings people together and facilitates a space focused on intentionality, nurturing and a sense of belonging..”

Ensemble allowed me space, gentle yet rigorous training, and a profound sense of community. My regular interaction with the ensemble throughout my studies as a dancer, and throughout the first year of the pandemic (whilst abroad in Germany) helped me gain skills in performing that set me apart from other dancers, installed a strong sense of integrity in my own performance, and gave me good friends that I know are supportive in my own personal endeavours. I believe what Stephanie offers is invaluable and will positively impact many early career performers, and therefore the wider community.
