About Me
IWith a foundation in acting through the Cygnet Theatre Company and a degree in Drama, Applied Theatre, and Education from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, I bring a rich, multidisciplinary approach to my work with performers and creatives. My postgraduate training in Physical Theatre with Jasmin Vardimon’s Dance Company, coupled with a Master’s in Teaching and Learning in the Performing Arts from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, equips me with unique insights into both the artistry and pedagogy of performance.
For the past seven years, I have run a movement ensemble that has performed at prestigious venues such as The Traverse Theatre, Dundee Rep, Into The Now festival in Glasgow, and the V&A Museum in Dundee. Leading this ensemble has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of collaborative creative processes, helping performers explore their physicality, engage with space, and push artistic boundaries.
In addition to my ensemble work, I am an active solo improviser, regularly performing at events such as WIG (Weekend of Improvisation in Glasgow), Something Smashing in Edinburgh, and A Brief Moment of Solidarity, an international performance project led by Andrew Morrish. These experiences not only keep me deeply connected to the creative process but also allow me to continually expand my improvisational practice.
I have directed numerous productions as part of Acting Training courses, merging my expertise in movement and theatre to create dynamic, impactful performances. As a movement director, I have worked on a range of theatre and film projects, guiding actors to embody their roles more fully, bringing authenticity and depth to their performances. My collaborative approach helps creatives unlock new layers of physical and emotional expression, enhancing the storytelling process.
My expertise in movement, devised performance, and ensemble practice is further strengthened by one-on-one mentorship in solo improvised performance from Andrew Morrish and intensive Pure Movement training from Lizzie Ballinger, Head of Movement at RADA. I’ve also had the privilege of working with movement pioneers like Peter Trotoman, Seke Chimutengwende, Katie Duck, Sten Rudstrom, and Company of Wolves, enhancing my ability to help performers unlock their creative potential.
As an educator, I specialise in helping performers and creatives deepen their physical and emotional connections to their craft. I have taught ensemble theatre, movement for actors, and devising at top institutions, including Queen Margaret University, Napier University, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Rose Bruford College, Dundee and Angus College, and Edinburgh College. Through tailored instruction and innovative techniques, I empower performers to discover new layers of expression and refine their creative processes, whether on stage or in the classroom.
